Moleskine, an Italian maker of notebooks and stationery, is famous for being able to package and sell a commodity (paper) at premium prices and healthy margins. Evernote, a tech titan nearing an IPO, is famous for allowing users to snap photos of text, drawings, images, etc. to digitize, store and make user content sortable and searchable.
The two companies have decided to combine their powers to create a Moleskine notebook specially designed to make Evernote digitization easier and higher quality. The notebooks are currently available for pre-order, at $24.95 and $29.95, and are expected to ship in 4-6 weeks (in time to make this a great stocking stuffer this holiday season). The price includes three free months of Evernote Premium, Evernote’s ad-free premium service.
